For street, autocross, and light track duty, the stock S2000 brake setup can work just fine when equipped with good brake pads and fluid. For most street/autocross cars, we use Brembo blanks with Ferodo 2500 pads front and rear. For more big track, we'll switch to the DS1.11 pads front and rear. Always bring spare rotors and your next set of pads with you, as the stock brakes are small and if repeated hot lapping, wear and/or rotors cracking can occur.
For the more serious track folk- We use our new Alcon front and rear brake kit. True motorsports calipers with 2pc directionally veined 2pc rotors. These will take on anything you can throw at them.
OE Replacement rear brake rotor, non directional. The OEM brakes with good pads and fluid work amazing on an S2000. BUT, if your doing a track day you better always bring spare rotors (and pads) with. On our S2000 race cars, we'd replace these every 2 race w weekends (8-15min races).
Replacement front 299 x 32mm Pro-System rotor rings for your AP/Essex (S2000 or BRZ) big brake kits. These rotors are revised to prevent premature cracking near the bobbins. These also come pre-bedded.
